I believe that it is very important to know the education and experience of the individuals that provide this type of training for you or your organization. Our program is approved by the Emergency Medical Service Authority (EMSA), the Commission of Teacher Credentialing, and meet’s OSHA requirements.

Learn moreThis class is for anyone needing a CPR, AED, or First Aid completion card. This class is for anyone wanting to learn the skills and techniques to perform CPR/AED, or First Aid procedures.
At this time online training is not an acceptable training program for individuals that are seeking licensing for childcare. You need to complete your training in a classroom. You can look at our calendar for EMSA approved training locations.
3 months. Participants have up to 3 months to complete the class. During this time, you can log in and out as many times as you need.
Each online class takes about 1 to 2 hours. Some people take the class in one sitting, while others complete a few sections at a time. The nice thing is you can start and stop whenever needed. The program is set-up to save whatever sections you have completed so you can pick up where you left off.
The online class has required lesson plans that must be completed before receiving a completion card. Every time you log-off, each completed lesson plan will be saved automatically. It will be marked as completed so you can keep track of your progress.
At the completion of each lesson plan there will be questions that must be answered correctly to move on. If you answer the question incorrectly it will redirect you to the correct information. Then, you can go back to the question and answer it again. Once all lesson plans have been successfully completed, you will take a final test consisting of true/false and multiple choice questions. This test will revisit all the questions you had earlier in the program. After passing the test, you can click on “print completion card”. This card is valid for two years.
It depends. Some companies will only accept an online training if skills assessment has been completed. Some companies accept the cards without any skills assessment. It is your responsibility to make sure you complete the appropriate program for your needs.
To make an appointment for the skills assessment portion call Save-A-Life Educators at (619) 669-9911 or email us at vicki@savealifeeducators.com. Allow ½ hour to 1 hour for this appointment.
